in life!
|
|
Are you doing everything
you can to:
To arm your child to succeed
in life?
To help them be the best
they can be in school?
To develop their self
confidence?
To assist them in
developing their unique potential?
To learn self discipline?

Most parents do everything
they can to teach these things to their children. But many
parents need some help. After all, with our busy 21st Century
schedules, it's hard to find the time and resources to
really help them with these important life
skills.
You would think and
expect that they would learn about perseverance, positive
mental attitudes, self
discipline and goal setting in school,
but they really don't.
Students
who attend the Pace Institute of Karate
are a step up on others because we teach them
about these important life skills and how to develop them
to their fullest! Success traits that will pay off for the
rest of their lives.

Special
Internet Offer for Parents
|
|
Dear Parent:
The
fact that you are reading this tells me you want the very best
for your child. So how do you go about preparing them for the
challenges of our fast paced 21st Century? How do you teach
them how to have a positive attitude, to be self motivated,
to set and attain goals and to learn how to concentrate and
focus? This is no easy task as this specialized type of education
is not taught in our schools. It is not taught on our football,
baseball or soccer fields either. Unfortunately it's not even
being taught in our community organizations or religious groups.
These life skills, if taught to children at a young age, can
have a tremendous impact on the outcome of their lives and how
successful they become.
|
|

Courtesy, Respect and Self Discipline
mean better grades in school.
|
|
Over
the past 40 plus years that I have been training and teaching
martial arts I have seen countless numbers of young boys and
girls who were very shy and lacked anything that resembled self
confidence. Some of them could not focus or concentrate for
more than a few seconds at a time. Others were overweight or
were slower learners than their peers. Many of these children
were not doing very well in school or in social situations because
of their lack of self confidence.
As
a parent and young grandparent myself I have a soft spot in
my heart for these youngsters. I know that with the right direction
and training their lives can be changed significantly for the
better. I made it my goal many years ago that we would teach
much more than just kicking and punching. That our organization
would specialize in personal development. In teaching life skills
that would make a difference.
We
have focused our entire program around this premise. Yes, I
believe we teach the best in martial arts training, but that
is not enough. Our entire children's curriculum is centered
around what we call the Principles of the Black Belt.
|
|
Principles of the Black Belt
|
| Courtesy |
Honesty |
Integrity |
| Perseverance |
Self Control |
Indomitable Spirit |
| Humility |
Loyalty |
Sportsmanship |
| These
important qualities along with the understanding of goal setting,
self discipline, concentration and a positive mental attitude
are the cornerstone of our programs. |
|
Over the
years, I have seen thousands of children
benefit from our unique approach to teaching martial arts.
- Overweight children who
lost a few pounds through self discipline and exercise gained
tremendous amounts of self esteem and self confidence.
- Smart children, who
were bored in school, learned to set goals and reach higher.
- Shy children were brought
out of their shell and learned to enjoy life.
- Overactive
children learned to channel their energy and focus their attention.

"Since
starting at the Pace Institute of Karate, our son Alex has
developed more confidence in himself and he had much more
self-esteem.
The Super
Star program is wonderful. It helps keep Alex on track at
home and in school. He’s developed an all around cooperative,
positive attitude. We are very proud of Alex and the progress
he has made since being at Pace Institute."
Mr. & Mrs. Fred Block
|
| They
say that once you learn to ride a bike that you never forget.
Likewise, the skills and habits of success, once learned, become
a part of your child. Theirs forever to achieve, grow and improve.
I have witnessed this through thousands of children who have experienced
our programs. I have had countless parents tell me their child
is a different child after only a short time at the Institute.
Confidence growing, self discipline improving, leadership skills
coming out, better grades in school and on and on. |
"Since
he started at Pace Karate, my son now cleans his own room,
most of the time without me telling him to do it."
- Laurie LaSorsa |
|
What
better gift to give your child than to empower them with greater
self esteem, confidence, focus and concentration. At the Pace
Institute of Karate we have developed a specialized program
which combines physical training with life skills development.
Our
belt promotion system is based on the principal of steady consistent
improvement. Self confidence and improved self esteem are developed
through a series of winning experiences. This is how it works.
- Set a goal
- Have a plan
- Work hard towards it's achievement
- Persevere until you reach the goal
- Set higher goal
Of
course the key is to make sure they win. How? By having a curriculum
which is broken down in small achievable chunks. When a child
sets a goal. Works for it. Achieves it. They start to believe
in themselves. Do that over and over and they feel almost invincible.
|
Our specialized children's program will
truly give your child
a head start in life all while having fun!!
|
|
Here are a few of the benefits:
-
Improved concentration through what we
call the "Rules Of Concentration".
-
More Self Esteem and improved self confidence.
-
Understanding self discipline and why it
is absolutely necessary for success. This alone often improves
grades in school.
-
Increased motivation and the development
of a positive mental attitude. This allows them to learn
from their failures and grow from their successes.
-
Goal setting skills and practical application.
-
The self confidence and self discipline
to say "NO" to drugs and other negatives.
-
Stranger Danger training. Learning how
to spot and avoid danger. What to do if danger is unavoidable.
-
Social interaction, sportsmanship, camaraderie
and fun!
It
is important that your child have some fun in class. We have
developed a series of skill and conditioning building games.
We try to include some fun things in every class!

every child feels important, makes steady progress and continues

Life Skills Center
Each
month we cover a different life skill's topic in each of children's
classes. Some of these important character building subjects
are Goals, Self Confidence, Positive Attitude, Self Discipline,
Courtesy and Honesty.
Our
Life Skills center is our way of communicating to the parents
exactly what we are working on that month and how the parent
can best support their child in this area.

Don't just take my word for it,
just listen to what other parents
have to say about Pace Institute of Karate's unique programs.
'Karate is the best thing I ever did for my child'
Scott Davis, Father.

"As
a parent I could not be happier with the children’s program
at Pace Karate. The level of confidence, knowledge and fun,
that both my daughters have experienced to date, from the program
cannot be overstated.
We as
parents could not be more proud of both of them, thanks for
a great children's program and a fine environment for the kids."

"When we enrolled James in your karate school we did not
know the positive effect it would have on James. Since 2000
he has learned to concentrate on what is important to him, set
goals, and also how to make commitments and keep them.
He enjoys the physical part of karate. The instructor’s at your
school are a great influence on the kids. It is nice to see
James grow with the help of everyone at Pace.Thanks."
Jim and Sandi Londino
"We wanted to tell you how important karate is to
Steven. Karate has increased his self confidence and independence.
It has reinforced our morals and aided in the job of parenting.
Steven finished school with a perfect report card."
"Thank you very much for being a positive influence in his
life. Thanks for caring about all the kids the way the school
does. It is nice to know that Pace Institute of Karate is a
fun and safe place to grow."
